About the magazine:

Asian Scientist Magazine is an award-winning science and technology magazine that highlights research and development news stories from Asia to a global audience. Based in Singapore, the print magazine is maintained by a team of professional science and medical journalists, with active contributors from industry and academia.

About the issue:

In this issue of Asian Scientist Magazine, we delve into the latest science and technology of aging, a topic of particular importance to rapidly greying Asia. With advancements in healthcare, people are living longer than before.

In our special feature (Turning The Hourglass Sideways, p. 16), we take a closer look at six promising ways to slow down the inevitable march of time. Although there is still much to learn about the aging process and how we can age gracefully, we’ve included two feature stories on encouraging developments in healthcare: anti-aging pills in clinical trials (Longevity In A Bottle, p. 30) and a potential blood test for Alzheimer’s disease (Searching For Signs, Not Symptoms, p. 26).
